Welcome

Notre Dame de Vie (Our Lady of Life) in the UK organises week-end retreats and schools of Prayer in London for all adults who want to deepen their spiritual life and learn how to pray in the Carmelite spirituality.

What is Notre Dame de Vie?

Notre Dame de Vie is a new form of consecrated life, a secular Institute founded in 1932 in France and approved by Rome.

Notre Dame de Vie community belongs to the Carmelite family and strives to live in the spirit of the prophet Elijah and the Carmelite Saints.

The vision of the founder: Fr Marie-Eugene, a Carmelite, is to form comtemplative apostles who work in any professional environement and witness to the living God.

Members of Notre Dame de Vie -  consecrated lay women, men and priests (mainly diocesan) take the 3 vows of poverty, chastity and obedience.

Associates and families share in the same spirituality.

Great news!: Fr Marie-Eugene has just been declared Venerable by the Pope. This is the first step towards an official declaration of Sainthood. Let us thank the Lord!
